Tesseli by xinova
App privacy
Effective October 18, 2026.
Tesseli is operated by Arkham Haus, LLC, doing business as xinova, in Arizona, United States. This policy covers the native Tesseli apps and their board service. The promotional website has a separate website privacy notice.
Current testing stage
Tesseli has not been publicly released. The Android services described below are available only in enabled private test builds; other builds keep them disabled. The current iPhone, iPad, and Mac builds use local play without native sign-in, ads, or in-app purchases. We will update this policy before introducing those Apple services.
Your game on your device
Your saved game, settings, and local score history are stored on your device. You can play locally without signing in. Starting a new game replaces the active game, while keeping preferences and score history. Removing app data removes local information; device or operating-system backup settings may also affect local copies.
Age and privacy choices on Android
Enabled Android builds ask for a date of birth to choose an age group. The date itself is discarded, is not saved, and is not sent to us. Only the group is kept locally. Google receives applicable child-directed and under-consent-age treatment signals, not your birthday. You can choose not to provide a date. “Privacy & purchases” lets you change the player, restore purchases, and revisit Google's privacy choices when available.
Players under 16 and players of unknown age cannot use Tesseli's public leaderboards or board sharing and are not shown interstitial ads. Under-13 and unknown-age players receive child-treated banner requests; teens receive age-appropriate request settings. Ads are configured as nonpersonalized with a G content rating. For players under 18 or of unknown age, purchases require a parent-facing gate. That gate is not verifiable parental consent for collecting or sharing children's personal information and does not replace Google Play's authentication or family approval.
Optional Play Games and public boards
Eligible players can choose Google Play Games sign-in. Google handles the player profile and leaderboard service. Tesseli uses your Play Games player identifier to verify identity, and displays player names, ranks, and scores supplied by Google. Score sharing is a separate choice. If enabled, completed scores and their board data can be sent to Google and our board service.
Our service stores a provider player identifier, game/league identifier, board seed and state, score, run identifier, and timestamps to associate and deliver shared boards. Published boards can be accessed by anyone who has their board identifier. Public leaderboard visibility also depends on Google's profile settings. Do not put personal information into public content.
The Google authorization code and access token used to verify a player are processed by our server; they are not stored in the board database. The SDK requests the games_lite and drive.appdata scopes. Tesseli does not call Drive or implement cloud saves. We use Play Games data for identity, leaderboards, and board sharing, not for advertising. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Ads and Google's privacy services
Enabled Android builds use Google's User Messaging Platform for applicable privacy choices and Google Mobile Ads for banners and eligible completed-game interstitials. Test builds use test ads. Ad requests require a successful privacy-information update; a failure leaves local play available without ads. Verified Delete Ads ownership stops banners and interstitials.
Nonpersonalized ads still involve data processing. Google's SDK can process IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP, app/ad interactions, diagnostics, and device or account identifiers for delivery, security, measurement, and fraud prevention. Tesseli removes Android advertising-ID and Ad Services tracking permissions and applies age restrictions before initializing ads. Google determines its own service retention. See Google's Privacy Policy and Mobile Ads data disclosures. Tesseli does not include a separate analytics SDK.
Purchases
Google Play handles payment and purchase authentication. Tesseli does not receive your card or bank details. To verify and acknowledge Delete Ads, the app sends a purchase token and product identifier to our server, which checks them with Google. These tokens are not saved in our server database or application logs. The app keeps a device-bound encrypted record of verified ownership for offline ad removal; that record is excluded from Android backup. Google retains purchase and payment records under its policies. Play Games sign-in is not required to buy or restore Delete Ads.
Hosting, security, and retention
DreamHost hosts our board service in the United States. Hosting services can process IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, and timestamps to operate and secure the service. Our application also uses short-lived, hashed request identifiers for abuse prevention. Network requests use HTTPS. Google and our service providers may process information in other countries.
Local information remains until it is replaced or removed from the device. Board ownership records and current or staged boards have no automatic time-based expiry; they remain until replaced where applicable or removed with the shared-board deletion control below. Successful board deletion removes the matching board-service identity and boards from our live database and its single retained application backup in the same operation. Short-lived security/replay records expire separately. Disabling sharing alone does not remove previously published scores or boards. Google controls retention of its profiles, scores, consent records, ad data, and transactions. We retain support correspondence as needed to handle the request and any applicable legal obligations.
Remove shared boards and global scores
Tesseli has no separate account registration. Google creates and manages your Google account and Play Games profile. The following controls are implemented in enabled Android test builds; the app is not publicly released and physical-device checks are pending.
- Open Tesseli's Leaderboard and choose Remove my global scores near the sharing controls. The same control is under Privacy & purchases. Use the gaming profile whose boards you want to remove; sign in from Global first if needed. Sharing can stay off.
- Review the confirmation and continue. Tesseli automatically removes your shared boards and board-service identity, clears pending uploads for that profile on this device, and turns off sharing here. No email request or owner approval is needed.
- Choose Open Play Games, then Your Data → Delete Play Games Account & Data. Under Delete individual game data, choose Tesseli. This removes Google-held Tesseli game data, including its leaderboard scores. Do not delete your entire Google account or Play Games profile. See Google's current instructions.
- Return to Tesseli and choose Check removal. The completion message appears only when the same profile returns no score in either global leaderboard. Connection failures or remaining scores do not show success.
Your local saved game, local score history, and Delete Ads purchase are preserved. Turn off score sharing on other devices to prevent new uploads. Google-held data and our board-service data are separate: deleting either alone does not delete the other. Google controls its own processing and retention. Board deletion cannot recall copies other players have already obtained.
Your other choices and requests
Use local play to avoid Play Games and board sharing. Eligible players can turn off future score sharing. Use Google Play Games account controls for Google-held profile and game data. Use the automated controls above for routine board and leaderboard removal. For privacy questions or rights not covered by those controls, including questions about a child's information, contact apps@arkham.haus. We may need enough information to verify that the data belongs to you; do not email passwords, payment details, or access tokens.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to object to or restrict processing, receive a copy of your information, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy authority. Where applicable, we process information to provide requested features, with consent, to protect the service, and to meet legal obligations. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. We do not sell Play Games user data or use it for ad targeting.
Changes and contact
We will update this page when data practices change and provide additional notice or choices where required. For privacy or app support, email apps@arkham.haus.
